Mallory's passion for working with young children has spanned numerous experiences from assisting in the Early Childhood programs at the Waldorf School of San Diego, Sparrow Academy, and Sanderling Waldorf School, to working as an AuPair in Switzerland. She has a BA in Global Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduate coursework in Social Work, and a LifeWays teaching certification. She opened Lilac Sea Nursery School in the summer of 2014 with the goal of providing young children with an unhurried, nurturing atmosphere in which free play, exploration, and imagination can thrive.

As a California native, Mallory grew up outdoors and continues to enjoy nature while hiking, biking, playing tennis, and going to the beach.
